Arm extension!
Have you ever wished that your arm was longer and stronger? Well now you can make your own arm extension using some card or paper and wooden skewers. See if you can make one of these at home with the help of an adult? Mrs Carter had fun with this one as she is vertically challenged!

Catapult City!
Have a look in your kitchen for a wooden spoon and some other bits and pieces from around your house...then make your own catapult from the lever to project your ball, ready, aim, fire! Create a tune!
Can you make a pretend guitar using an old tissue box? Join Mrs Carter as she shows you how and you can learn about different sounds and tensions that elastic bands make! Thanks to "Nanogirl" for this clever musical idea.
Hoop throw game!
Mrs Carter made this game from Nanogirl's Hoop throwing video! How are your accuracy skills when it comes to throwing from a distance? Check out some more ideas on her website: https://www.nanogirl.co/the-superpower-of-throwing-0?hsLang=en
Making music!
Why don't you try doing one of Mrs Carter's Creative Crafts during lockdown at home with your Mum, Dad, big brother or sister's help? I would love to hear the tunes you have made! Our trip to Stardome!
We travelled by bus to One Tree Hill in Greenlane and went to visit the observatory. Inside there were lots of things to explore such as rockets made of Lego, telescopes, the black hole. John taught us all about how the sun rotates around the earth and the moon also rotates to give us daytime and nightime. Then we got to watch a movie about Space called Tycho.

Mrs Carter's lava lamp!
Here is my attempt at making a lava lamp in lockdown...hope you enjoy?
The ingredients and things that I have used for this science experiment are; an empty plastic bottle 1.5 litre (see through) you can also use a smaller bottle such as a 250 ml, some cooking oil (make sure you ask Mum or Dad first!), a few drops of food colouring or dye, a bit of water to add and an effervescent tablet (or Berocca) or you can use table salt as a substitute? Please keep the bottle away from under 3 year olds.

My Journal entry #2!
Today I feel so very proud of the students from Rm 24 who have been writing in their daily journal as part of their continued online learning at home during the lockdown. Well done to all of you who are trying your best and making an effort! I have posted this record of learning onto your blogs.
