Soccer skills
Rm 24 have been learning how to use their feet to pass a ball, dribble, score a goal and work as a team. Thank you to Coach Chelsea and Coach Trey for teaching us all these new skills and techniques to help us keep fit and active. The way the children learnt to play this sport over a period of 8 weeks is a great credit to them. They practiced under Te Kapua using colured bands and then moved to the fiels wearing coloured bibs. Each child listened to instructions and followed the rules of the game football also known as soccer.

Kiwisport - Rippa rugby
Rm 24 have really been enjoying how to play Rippa rugby from the awesome Kelly Sport coaches Trey and Chelsea! We have learnt how to rip off tags, pass the ball and score a try on the goal line. We also loved the practice running between the cones session under Te Kapua. It's great to learn so many new skills whilst keeping active and fit at school.

ENGAGE Fun!
Rm 24 enjoyed playing the "Ball and Spoon Race" inside the school hall for Kiwisport during Week 3 of Term 3.
The idea of the game is to try your best not to drop the ball and then pass the spoon onto the next person.
Going forwards looked easy, what about walking backwards?!
Great teamwork everyone from Mrs Carter.

On Friday 11th September we had our first school Cross Country day without spectators due to being in Level 2 in Auckland. Everyone tried their best running until the finish line and there were 6 top place winners that were acknowledged in our Team 2 Assembly. Well done to these children.
