Learning from home...in Week 4.

Some children stayed at home to keep safe while others recovered from being sick. Mrs Carter wishes you all a speedy recovery and return to school as soon as you can to continue your learning. Unfortunately Omicron is starting to spread through our community, so stay safe everyone and take care. Remember "Kawa of Covid". Keep washing your hands to stop the spread of germs.
Mrs Carter was at school doing online Google Meets with children who were at home at this time. But we still had lots of fun!

Week 3 - In Self Isolation!

What a surprise it was to have to stay at home for a week in self isolation! Rm 24 children were sent home with their iPads for home learning. They also joined in daily Google Meets with Mrs Carter and Miss Vili. It was great to see everyone remembering to use Good Manners for Google Meets. We played some fun games such as Scavenger Hunt, The Magic Blanket, The Wheel of Names game and I spy with my little eye...some of our friends shared their favourite toy. We also talked about what we ate for breakfast and lunch each day. Did you watch PENN while you were at home? Do you know what the school korero is for this week?

We have some shining examples of learning from home and Bubble school throughout this period and children reflecting on this time in their lives. We hope you enjoy this movie with the theme song called Daylight by Maroon 5. Please leave a positive comment.

Small clay lamps are lit at night time and put outside Indian families homes as part of this ceremony and fireworks are lit on the last day of this celebration.
